The latest single from Feral Family is a razor-sharp piece of alt-rock blended with industrial influences. From its opening moments, ‘Deep Cuts’ is thought-provoking, mixing interesting lyrical themes with melodic-yet-chaotic musicianship. It reaches a heady climax as a bleak, apocalyptic mesh of screeching riffs and dark textures. In the words of the band, this track “reflects being hurt deeply, the struggle to cope with the pain, and the desire to move on. Time may be a great healer, but those scars don’t always necessarily fade.
